50 Free Woodworking Plans: What the Ted's Free Offer Includes

What the merchant advertises

The free offer currently says it includes 50 step by step woodworking plans, a digital copy of The Art of Woodworking guide book, and additional woodworking tips, techniques, videos, and guides. These are claims made on the merchant's free plan page.

What you exchange for the downloads

The offer is an email opt in. The merchant states that the downloads are sent to the email address submitted on the page. That makes this different from the main paid Ted's Woodworking offer. You are providing contact information rather than purchasing the full plan library.

Why the free offer can be useful

A sample can help you decide whether the general project material is relevant to the way you build. It also gives a beginner project ideas without immediately paying for a large library. Evaluate the individual plans using the same standards you would apply to any free resource.

What to check in a free plan

Look for finished dimensions, a clear parts list, understandable drawings, material information, tool requirements, and a logical build sequence. Free does not automatically mean simple or beginner friendly. Read the complete project before buying lumber.

Free offer versus the full library

The free page advertises 50 plans and a guide book. The main Ted's Woodworking sales offer advertises a much larger plan library and additional resources. Treat them as separate offers. Start with the free option if you mainly want to inspect sample material. Review the paid offer separately if broad project selection is the reason you are interested.
